The project cluster for researching the potential of additive manufacturing of catalyst molded bodies - 3DKAT - is now running in its second project year.
MuniCat is thus an active partner of TUM.Additive for the Faculty of Chemistry.
As part of the project work, another PhD position in the field of modeling and simulation of innovative packing geometries will be filled to strengthen the team. See more details under positions/applications.
In Silico Screening: In early 2019, MuniCat started an AI initiative with Prof. Karsten Reuter in the highly innovative topic area of "machine learning" to identify new lead structures for established as well as new application areas in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Current topics: "New catalysts for the efficient conversion of carbon dioxide to methanol" and "In silico screening of catalysts for the total oxidation of formaldehyde at room temperature".
