CRC Symposium "Perspectives of Catalysis Research"
On July 22nd to 24th in 2026, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) will host the international symposium
“Perspectives of Catalysis Research”
to highlight the tenth anniversaries of the TUM Catalysis Research Center (CRC) and the Dr. Karl Wamsler Innovation Award for Catalysis Research. Founded and generously sponsored by Clariant AG since 2017, the Wamsler Award recognized outstanding researchers, whose work has shaped both fundamental understanding and industrial applications of catalysis.
The symposium will take place at the TUM Institute for Advanced Study, Garching Campus. The program will include two award lectures of the 2025 and 2026 laureates, key-note lectures of the previous recipients alongside invited talks. It altogether reflects the diversity and societal relevance of catalysis — from energy and sustainability to chemical synthesis and materials science.
By bringing together established leaders and rising stars, the event highlights CRC’s continued commitment to excellence, innovation, aiming to foster exchange between academia and industry, to encourage dialogue across career stages, and to strengthen international networks within the catalysis community.
More details on the event will be released shortly. Stay tuned!
