Photocatalysis
Our research covers a broad range of fields, from (in)organic synthesis and optoelectronics to energy. With the worldwide reliance on fossil fuels as energy carriers, their finitude and combustion for power generation present several challenges for the coming decades, our current work is focused on the development of chromophores, polymer systems, and hybrid materials that mimic the exceptional abilities of natural enzymatic machineries towards photo- and electro-driven synthesis of fuels and value-added products.
