Overview:
Since 1999, the South German Catalysis Institute (Süddeutscher Katalyse-Lehrverbund) has offered doctoral students from participating universities insight into the fundamentals and current applications of catalysis through two intensive block courses. The lectures and seminars cover everything from basic principles to the various types of catalysis and reactor technologies.

The next catalysis course will take place from October 19 to 23, 2026, at the TUM Catalysis Research Center.
💰 Fee and Registration
Registration fee will be announced shortly. Travel arrangements must be made individually.
Please note, that we have a limited number of spaces and you will be sent an email including the invoice with payment information. The fee includes participation at the seminars and poster-sessions. Furthermore, snacks, fingerfood, and drinks (non-alcoholic) will be provided during the breaks and poster session.
📌 Poster Session
Academic participants are invited to showcase their individual research projects in catalysis through a dedicated poster presentation. Each poster must be accompanied by a concise abstract (max 200 words, provided during registration).
To spark meaningful dialogue, we recommend to highlight at least one specific problem or case study on your poster. This session is designed for open exchange between peers and experts, fostering constructive feedback and new ideas. Please note that abstracts will not be published online.

Transportation:
By Plane: If you are arriving at Munich International Airport (MUC), you can reach Garching by taking the S1 train to Neufahrn and then transferring to bus 690, which stops at Garching-Forschungszentrum.
By Train: From Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), take the U5 (towards Neuperlach-Süd) subway line to Odeonsplatz and change there to the U6 subway line towards Garching-Forschungszentrum (terminal station), where you also exit. The Catalysis Research Center is a 10-minute walk from the station.
By Car: Garching is located approximately 17 km north of Munich. From the A9 motorway, take exit 70-Garching-Nord and follow the signs to Garching-Forschungszentrum. Parking is available on-site at the Catalysis Research Center.
